Life is too fast. The lure of money is leading people to live life in the fast lane. Everyone is running fast in this tussle to reach the finishing line. Unfortunately the finishing line in case of want of money does not exist. Even a person like Dhirubhai Ambani who has unlimited wealth is signing up new projects every day.
In this endless pursuit what we are missing is living life itself. Earning more and more money is Ok, but we need to slow down the pace of life in between. Much like pressing the pause button so that the pace of life is in the first gear and not the fourth one. It’s the same as relaxing the body after strenuous workouts so that he body may be ready for further work.
Reading, spending time with family and friends, listening to music which we enjoy, enjoying the warmth of the sun during winters or may be proceeding for a holiday to a favourite destination are some of the activities by which a person can unwind.
In fact pressing the pause button surely leads to a healthy individual. In a way, surely one would feel refreshed and ready to work further. Why not meditate? Why not take a healthy dose of fresh air through Pranayam? Eating fast and running for work has become the order of the day. Food is the basic necessity for which an individual works.
People have developed a tendency to be indoors. Walks after having food in the evenings have reduced. Having a walk than watching the idiot box dish out a never ending dose of programs is a lot better.
Life is short, take stock and live life pressing the pause button in between.
